Finally Andrea has shared the 3rd page for his part of the book! He's now half the way to complete his 6 pages in total!

I'm so happy! Andrea has finished his second page on the project, and it's getting better all the time. I just love the face of the sheep, and little Tommy is very funny too.
Andrea's art is perfect for MVEM. Everything was drawn by hand with china ink, and colored later in photoshop.

In this page, Tommy is playing soccer while the rest of his family his resting after the lunch. The sheep tell him that someone is arriving, and when Tommy looks behind, he can recognize his Grandma.

The third page is making good progress too, so you can expect to see it next week :) So great!

The sequel is coming!

If some people are still around to follow the MVEM cooperative comic project, then I have good news! Andrea has made a lot of progress with the 6 next pages. I can't wait to show you the result, but it's a bit too early and we will all have to be more patient. In the meantime, here is the uncolored version of his first page, that I find very promising! Hope you like it too.

Watercolor

While we are preparing the next pages of the comic book (which may still take a while), I thought I could share with you this new watercolor. It shows the 2 young heros Seb and little Tommy, running in a field of corn at the front of the icehouse. I hope you like it!

MVEM comic book teaser

Cooperative comic book - it begins

This is the last day before the members of The icehouse take a Summer break. But before we leave for a mysterious journey, somewhere in a faraway land, we would like to (re)introduce our project Mon Village est Magique (MVEM for friends).

MVEM has evolved during several years, started as a series of short novels (5 books by Simon Mesnard), became a project of animated movie (the complete storyboard was even created), until it finally became a project of cooperative comic book.

You can now read the beginning of book 1 of MVEM, The Secret of the Medallion, on the homepage for free:

As a cooperative project, MVEM will introduce the work of several artists from all the world, each using their own style to give life to this book.

Blog update

The blog of Mon Village est Magique restarts from scratch. Now I will give the news in english, and I think you will discover the new orientation of the project very soon (as you can see in the banner, it becomes a comic book).

I will take a bit of time to update the design and functions of the blog and probably a bit more time to remake the site on monvillageestmagique.fr
